Resolve Houzez Staging Issue
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I’m trying to spin up a clean WordPress install of the Houzez ThemeForest theme on DreamHost (primary domain: houseforsalelondonontario.com) and I want everything running safely on a sub-domain staging area first. The moment Houzez is activated, every page on the staging subdomain refuses to load—almost as if the theme’s licence or URL checker is locking anything that isn’t the “live” domain.
I have never installed Houzez elsewhere, so I don’t have a proven workaround. What I need is a WordPress specialist who already understands Houzez’s activation quirks—or who can track them down quickly—and make the theme run normally on the DreamHost staging subdomain.
Key outcomes I’m expecting:
• Staging subdomain (e.g., staging.houseforsalelondonontario.com) loads front-end and wp-admin without 403, 404 or any silent redirects once Houzez is active.
• Theme options, demo import and all bundled plugins function so I can build in private.
• A short note outlining what was changed (htaccess rules, wp-config tweaks, Houzez settings, DreamHost panel settings, etc.) so I can replicate the fix on future projects or the eventual production push.
