Joomla 4-6 Upgrade
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
My website is still running on Joomla 4.x and I want it moved cleanly to the current Joomla 6 release. The goal is a straight-through core upgrade so the site benefits from the latest performance gains and security hardening that come with the new version.
Key points for the job
• Carry the full database and file set into Joomla 6 without data loss or downtime.
• Re-apply the existing template and verify that layouts, menus, modules and CSS render exactly as they do now or with little modifications if necessary due the upgrade
• Make sure every installed feature—articles, contact forms, galleries and the handful of third-party extensions that power them—continues to work, upgrading or replacing when necessary.
• Clean up deprecated code or settings flagged during the migration.
• Deliver the finished site in a staging area for my review before anything goes live.
Acceptance criteria
The front end must load with no PHP errors, broken styles or 404s, and the back-end administrator must show a green “up-to-date” status with all extensions enabled. Once I confirm everything on staging, you will deploy the update to production.
Please outline your approach to backups, testing and rollback so I know the site is safe throughout the process.
