Wordpress site development: Frontend, Backend, Design (or ability to source design)
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Our company is in the need to rebuild our website including new design, frontend and backend. Our intention is to find a long-term partner who will work with us to evolve the site and optimize over the course of 6 mos+, but with the first project being getting a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) launched in early August.

Short-Term: Project will be Milestone based
Willingness to submit proposal and go through a quick, paid evaluation process:
1. June 14 - June 16: Applicant submissions
2. June 17 - June: Top 5 candidates notified and begin formal interview: Paid interview process begins (Est. 2 Hrs)
(a). June 21 ($25 per candidate submission): Explain in writing, how you would rebuild a reference site. Candidate to choose the best way to articulate to non-technical people. Explain what tools are used on reference site, your experience with specific tools or recommend a tool you are experienced with that meets the objective. Should only spend 30 mins on exercise
(b) June 23 & June 24: Top 2 candidates ($25 per candidate submission) - 1HR meet & greet, interview for skill match and fit
3. June 28: Proposal due (based on requirements)
4. July: Front-end, Back-end, Design
5. Aug 3: Site Live (w/ testing complete)
Skills:
- Have a development and requirements gathering framework to ensure we are making your life/job easy
- Agility / Responsiveness is a must
- Proactively communicate and set-up meetings as required
- Ability to train team on editing Front-end and Back-end
- Ability to work with less technical Marketing team and help us through your process, and set expectations accordingly
- Proven work/portfolio showcasing custom WordPress website builds. MUST be more
- GIT is an absolute – must be comfortable on command line
- PHP, WordPress, ACF Pro
- HTML/CSS/JS (Bootstrap, Tailwind, jQuery, Typescript)
- Ability to implement and build 3rd party API integrations
- Ability to create responsive websites
Bonus Skills: AWS, Laravel, DevOps, ETL, analytics and tracking
WordPress Developer Qualifications:
- Min. 4 years of WordPress development experience, preferably within an agency or fast-paced agency working with multiple brands and deadlines
- MUST have an online portfolio that features expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, and responsive design
- Be a team player that values and is willing to communicate regularly with Project Manager
