WordPress Theme Replacement & Site Polish for Marketing Website

We're looking for an experienced WordPress developer/designer to help update our website, johnbartz.com. The current theme feels too flashy; we'd like to replace it with a cleaner, more professional, and modern design that better represents the brand and marketing consulting business.

This project isn’t just about changing the theme—it’s about ensuring that the new design looks great, functions perfectly, and keeps all current content and SEO structure intact.

Project Scope:

1. Theme Replacement & Design Setup
-Recommend 2–3 modern, professional WordPress themes (compatible with Gutenberg - No Elementor).
-Install and configure the selected theme.
-Ensure design consistency with my current branding (colors, fonts, logo, etc.).
-Customize layout and templates as needed (home page, services, about, contact, blog).

2. Page Review & Optimization
-Review every page and post to ensure formatting, spacing, and images look clean.
-Fix any layout or broken design elements post-theme change.
-Verify that all internal links, buttons, and CTAs work properly.

3. Form & Functionality Check
-Test and verify all forms (contact, newsletter) are working and sending to the correct email addresses.
-Ensure integrations with plugins are intact.

4. Mobile & Browser Optimization
-Make sure the site is mobile-responsive and looks great on all devices.
-Test across major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).

5. SEO & Speed Preservation
-Ensure existing SEO titles, descriptions, and URLs remain unchanged.
-Check for 301 redirects if any page URLs change.
-Optimize images and site performance (Google PageSpeed score improvement preferred).

6. Security & Backup
-Implement or verify SSL and basic security plugins (Wordfence or similar).

7. Final QA & Handoff
-Provide a short walkthrough video or document explaining any changes made and where to find key settings.

Deliver final approval version before pushing live.
