Website Development using PHP and MySQL
Budget: $100 – $300 USD
A website for professional editing of assignments through 4 stages of processing (1) submitting by registered user, (2) assign editor by the chief editor, (3) Submitting an edited file by the editor and (4) submitting final edited file by chief editor.
Functional Requirements:
- The system shall allow register users to submit documents (a single or multiple files uploading through browsing). The system gives default name to the uploaded file based on the user id and the id of the uploaded document.
- The system allows the submission process in three steps (three screens with next and finish buttons), the first screen shall be used for uploading and viewing. The second screen for calculating and implementing payment through pay-pal. The third screen is confirmation.
- The system shall calculate the number of words and number of letters and display the calculated numbers for the user (This step including checking if the file is not empty and number of words are suitable).
- The system shall allow the chief editor to view the user’s uploaded file and assign editor tfor the editing task.
- The system shall allow the assigned editor to view the user’s uploaded file and upload a file which shall be renamed by the system.
- The system shall allow the chief editor to view both files and replace the administrator file and/or upload a new file(s), which shall be renamed by the system.
- The system shall send notification email to the corresponding user/editor when the status change.
- The control menu for users regardless of their role can track the status of the editing processes.
- The website shall display a modern menu for the content of the website; this shall include (Home, Services, Editorial Process, Contact Us and Login/SignUp/MyAccount).
- The website shall maintain a single header and footer in all the pages, to be added by the administrator later on.
- The website shall leave a space for a text and photos in each of these pages, where the images are added to the right side of the text.
- The system shall allow the user to sign up using the following information (User Name, Password, Prefix (Mr. Mrs. Miss. Dr. Prof.), Name, Email, Confirm email (with ability to add up to three emails).
- The system shall enforce confirmation of each of these emails by sending an email with a link to the register email.
- The system shall allow the user to modify the information through his/her profile and confirm new emails (if added/modified).
- The system shall also shows the transactions of the users in his/her profile.
- Editor sign up needs chief-editor approval and should be done using a nearly hidden button in the home page.
- Login of all users regardless of their role can be done using the same login window (except for chief editor) which is done through a page (not linked).
