Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced freelance webpage developer to work on the development and enhancement of a Guest Room Management System (GRMS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, particularly in designing and implementing admin panels and frontend interfaces. The primary focus of this role will be to develop features related to communication with an embedded system through Modbus TCP/IP protocol, utilizing open source systems and customizing them to meet our specific requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop an admin panel to facilitate communication with the embedded system using Modbus TCP/IP.
• Customize and modify open source systems to align with the needs of the GRMS.
• Create an intuitive and user-friendly frontend interface for the admin panel.
• Implement user management functionalities, including login, account creation, and different roles such as editor, viewer, admin, and user.
• Develop device management features, allowing for adding, deleting, modifying devices, and their configurations with associated functions.
• Enable the ability to add buildings, floors, rooms, and other relevant components to the system.
• Implement a comprehensive dashboard to display statistics and the status of devices in each room, as well as the overall hotel layout, floors, and rooms.
• Develop functionalities to manage devices in the rooms, such as turning them on/off and adjusting temperature settings.
• Collaborate with the embedded system engineer to establish a seamless communication channel for loading hex files and programming the devices directly from the web page.
• Implement the ability to export error logs to Excel or CSV format for analysis and troubleshooting.
• Enable the addition of hotel information, such as name, address, contact details, etc., through the system.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a software developer, specifically in web development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and relevant frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Strong understanding of Modbus TCP/IP protocol and experience working with embedded systems.
• Familiarity with open source systems and the ability to customize them to suit project requirements.
• Knowledge of user management systems and implementing various user roles.
• Experience in developing frontend interfaces with a focus on usability and aesthetics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and the embedded system engineer.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Previous experience working on GRMS projects or building management systems is a plus.
