Web Dev With Vision Needed for Fantasy Themed E-Commerce Store/Academy
Budget: $5 – $20 USD
Hi there, I'd like to redesign my website www.PrinceArmoryAcademy.com I need someone who can take what I have started and run with it as I'm trying to scale my business and free up more of my time to make more content. It's time to hand this over to a pro.
This is a site that offers digital products like patterns and courses and teaches various types of crafting. The general theme of the site should be a somewhat gritty dark fantasy vibe but still regal and easy to read. The closest typical niche is gaming but we want messaging and style to be distinct enough to quickly inform new visitors what we offer and what we're about. I want it to look beautiful and modern/advanced, but not minimalist. I like some decoration and textures and custom graphics. T
The total scope and budget are flexible and depend on a number of variables that we will just have to discuss. I expect this to be a long-term work in progress but ideally, I'd like to get a nice refresh we can build upon up sometime within the next several weeks if possible.
To apply for this job, ideally, you should:
A) Be familiar with the fantasy niche and able to design in this style. (Or at least be able to work with a freelance graphic artist who can handle this task)
B) Be able to grasp the whole website ecosystem to help build an ideal user experience for customers and students. This means woocommerce, lms, memberships, product listings, blogs, and helping to frame and present the content and messaging
C) Be excited about the project. If you're not genuinely interested in the project, it will show. I need someone with enthusiasm who wants to dive in and treat it as they would their own. My project is very niche and hard to understand if it is not something you already know, or would be excited to get to know.
D) Have a lot of experience. Have you built any sites anything like this? Have you achieved success with building a course website? Have you helped scale a business by optimizing a website? I'd like to find someone with a good track record of success.
E) Have good ideas. I have many long-term plans for this site and the academy and I'd like someone who can help build the foundation with those plans in mind while building the path to get there choosing the most practical steps along the way and the lowest hanging fruit to increase UX and conversions. Being able to help me tweak and expand the messaging and core content through the site would be a big plus. There are many pages that need to be finished or added.
F) Experience with courses or LMS and how to promote them would be a bonus.
G) General e-commerce experience is critical. There are not a ton of products but we want to polish and optimize the ones we do have and make the purchasing experience more clear and simple. Some a/b testing should be expected to make sure we're on the right track with our customers.
H) General marketing understanding to help the website warm up and convert leads is important too.
