Objective: Develop and design a responsive web application that connects to a Google Sheets form, identifies the user's smartphone model, and displays relevant product information (price, features, model) on the user's smartphone. The web application should accommodate multiple pricing options (e.g., normal price, special offer, unique opportunity, installment plans with associated banks) and store this information locally on the device, automatically updating every 5 minutes. The application should also track the number of connected devices and send this data to another Google Sheets document. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for designing the user interface and user experience, ensuring the design is responsive and adapts to various screen sizes and device models.
Stages:
Requirement gathering and understanding project objectives
Design of wireframes and mockups for the web application
Creation of high-fidelity prototypes
Development of the web application, including integration with Google Sheets API, Google Apps Script, and device identification
Implementation of data storage and automatic updates
Deployment, testing, and iterative design improvements based on user feedback
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives
Design and develop the responsive web application to display product information based on the user's smartphone model
Implement multiple pricing options and accommodate various promotional offers and payment plans
Integrate the web application with Google Sheets to manage and update product information
Design and implement a hidden form for updating product information and a visual indication of the user's smartphone model
Ensure the web application adapts to various screen sizes and device models
Track the number of connected devices and send this data to another Google Sheets document
Continuously improve the design and functionality of the web application based on user feedback and testing
Use Cases:
Upload and Update Prices (Price Updater)
a. Access the Google Sheets form.
b. Enter or update product information, including model, features, and multiple pricing options (e.g., normal price, special offer, unique opportunity, installment plans with associated banks).
c. Save the changes to the Google Sheets form.
View Product Prices (Customer)
a. Access the web application on their smartphone.
b. The web application identifies the customer's smartphone model.
c. The web application displays the relevant product information, including model, features, and multiple pricing options.
d. The customer can view the product prices and promotions on their device.
Add Prices to Devices (Installer)
a. Access the web application on the device to be installed in the store.
b. Enter a secret code or perform a hidden gesture to access the hidden form.
c. The installer inputs the device's store location and other relevant information.
d. The web application stores this information in localStorage, along with the device's model, features, and pricing options.
e. The installer ensures that the web application is set to automatically update product prices every 5 minutes.
Track Connected Devices (Price Updater / Installer)
a. The web application sends the device's connection data, including model, store location, and connection timestamps, to another Google Sheets document.
b. The Price Updater and Installer can view and analyze this data to monitor the number of connected devices and their update statuses.
Monitor and Maintain Web Application (Price Updater / Installer)
a. Regularly check the functionality of the web application and Google Sheets integration.
b. Address any issues related to web scraping, data updates, or devzice connectivity.
c. Improve the web application based on user feedback and testing.
