Urgent Portfolio Website Design Creation and Development
Budget: $750 – $1,500 SGD
Are you a creative and technically skilled individual with a passion for web design and development? Do you have a knack for creating visually stunning and user-friendly WordPress websites? If so, we want to hear from you! We're seeking a Web Designer/Developer to revamp our existing website (www.illuminatingasia.com) and take our digital presence to the next level. This role is remote based work.
Job Responsibilities for Website development:
• Write high quality and maintainable code on open-source (Linux based) web platforms (Example: Wordpress)
• Creation of custom plugins/widgets written to conform with the WordPress coding standards
• Experienced in both front-end and back-end website development.
• Build websites with a responsive and fluid front-end mobile design. Experience with at least 1 SQL and NoSQL database. Able to grasp the key essentials and marketing concepts after discussion with management.
• Manage database and server integration.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing website.
• Adhere to project timelines.
• Create security and data protection settings that are compliance with PDPA policy.
Job Responsibilities for Web Designer:
• Take ownership of design projects.
• Design page layouts and templates.
• Produce design assets for use in social media and marketing channels.
• Develop and maintain consistent branding.
• Collaborate with UX, marketing, engineering, and other teams.
• Utilize data and analytics in making design decisions.
• Work with front-end web developers to deploy designs.
• Select and prepare imagery.
• Create and maintain a database of design assets.
Web Designer Qualifications/Skills:
• Proven understanding of graphic design fundamentals
• Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to launch
• Strong command of color theory, image composition, and typography
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to deliver production-ready digital assets in a wide variety of formats
• Awareness of UI/UX principles
• Familiarity with digital photo editing
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Comfort working in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, architecture, arts media, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of professional creative design experience
• Portfolio of strong creative work
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Experience with HTML, Javascript, and CSS
This is a one-time project, fees payable based on milestone. Expected project fee of S$750 - 1000.00. Target timeline to completion 1 - 1.5 months. Content to be provided by management.
