Setup QNAP NAS for on premise "cloud" site for hosting client files
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I am looking for someone who can help me setup an on premise cloud site using our QNAP 56TB NAS and the QNAP myCloud or similar App and or possibly the QNAP App LogicalDoc or other solution.
We are a scanning bureau. We need a secure way to host multiple clients files so they are accessible to each client but only to that client so each client needs to have their own separate logins and the system needs to be able to assign proper security restrictions to limit unauthorized access. There are multiple terrabytes of data files, mostly PDF’s. Clients need a way to search for specific files by using meta data index fields which we supply and/or possibly full text search of OCR’d text embedded in each PDF or a separate full text catalog in an EDM system.
I am open to other ideas but it must be very cost effective and have adequate performance when searching and viewing large color maps and plans and other files. I am intrigued by LogicalDoc running on QNAP, I think that might work great but I need help setting it up and making it accessible thru our firewall which is OPNSense running on a Sophos box. We have a 200MB Fiber Internet connection which can be upgraded easily to 1GB if necessary.
I need someone with good communication skills in English, willing to work with me to discuss project ideas and pros and cons and then once a decision on directions is made to show me what they are doing and how it works.
We need to be able to add files locally across our network so our upload speed uploading client files is at local network speeds. When clients download they would be using our 200MG Internet connection to view their files.
We also have some clients who just want us to scan their files and then deliver them electronically so they can download them into their own on premise document management system so they need to be able to login and select files or folders to download.
