Senior Frontend Engineer
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Pypestream is looking for a Senior UX Frontend Developer Superhero. The right person for this role will have a deep understanding of good UX design and UI development using JavaScript (JS), HTML and CSS/SASS/CSS3/ITCSS etc. You will be responsible for taking designs from our highly creative and talented design team and moving those designs into performant JavaScript HTML/CSS markup with respect to our brand and you’ll be part of that creative process to work directly with the design team and our talented frontend developers who are building out components in ReactJS.

What You’ll Do
Work with Product Management and Design team on existing and new wireframes, user flows, and digital prototypes, translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code markup/css build with quality and integrity
Following brand guidelines, use mobile-first and responsive-design principles to create performant, highly animated user interfaces to be implemented by our developers
Write code that is maintainable, scalable, reusable, and clearly-documented
Maintain and develop highly visual interfaces to be delivered and realized by our ReactJS development team
Optimize interface for speed (and the appearance of speed)
Preferred Skills And Qualifications:
Extremely proficient in HTML5/CSS3 and CSS processors, Some proficiency with vanilla JavaScript (not jQuery), including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model would be a plus
A passion for building highly animated and dynamic frontends that scales
Proficient in writing code that is responsive and performant across devices
Familiarity with RESTful APIs
Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, Gulp, etc
Familiarity with code versioning tools (we use GIT)
Ability to convert design specs (invision, photoshop, zeplin, sketch etc) into full working & pixel-perfect html5/css/jsx templates
Bonus Points
Familiarity with BEM methodology
Write code with accessibility and web standards in mind
Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
Experience working in Agile Development organization
