About the Project
We are building a custom-coded e-commerce website for our organic grocery brand.
The website will include:
Standard e-commerce features
Advanced subscription functionality
Indian payment gateway integration
Local + national delivery logic
Customer self-service portal
Admin dashboard
This is NOT a WordPress/Shopify project.
We need a real full-stack developer experienced with modern frameworks and API integrations.
You will work closely with the founder (non-technical background but engineering mindset) and will receive architectural guidance and coding support via ChatGPT (advanced model).
We are looking for someone who can implement quickly and cleanly.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a complete custom e-commerce website using Next.js / React (frontend) and Node.js / Next.js API routes (backend)
Build product catalog, cart, checkout, order management
Integrate Razorpay Payment Gateway (one-time + subscription/mandate)
Implement subscription system:
Create subscription plans
Auto renewal using webhooks
Pause / skip / resume / change frequency
Swap products in subscription
Generate renewal orders automatically
Implement mixed-cart logic (one-time + subscription items in same cart)
Build customer portal for managing subscriptions
Build admin panel to manage products, inventory & orders
Integrate Shiprocket API for national deliveries
Implement local delivery logic based on pincode
Database setup using PostgreSQL + Prisma ORM
Deployment on Render / Vercel / DigitalOcean
Basic DevOps: environment variables, logs, error handling, backups
Write clean, modular, well-documented code

Must-Have Technical Skills
Strong experience with Next.js / React
Strong experience with Node.js (Express or Next API routes)
Database knowledge: PostgreSQL / MySQL
Experience with REST APIs
Experience integrating payment gateways (Razorpay preferred)
Experience with webhooks
Solid understanding of:
Authentication (JWT or similar)
Server-side logic
Async queues / cron jobs
