News website - core web vitals - less than 1 sec load

We are a global website and considering updating our existing Wordpress website to meet all the elements of core web vitals. Our current website runs on the latest Newspaper theme but has issues with CLS and LCP on core web vitals. Our Google Search ranking has been impacted greatly with poor urls.

The successful freelancer will want to work with us on a long term basis to build a new website with the following requirements but also continously work with us taking ownership and pride in their work for future developments as required by us.

The successful freelancer will also have excellent understanding of optimising the website for speed first, core web vitals and Google News.

We have thousands of existing posts and media which cannot be lost and will be moved to the new website.

Project requirements:

- New website design fast (less than 1 sec load on all pages) and passing all core web vitals criteria
- Mobile site - simple, fast and friendly- less than 1 second load of all pages
- Existing site structure for Google crawling maintained
- Existing advertising banner locations retained
- E-newsletter through Mailchimp design
