Magellan’s Web Portal UI/UX Project
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Magellan is a meeting software shaping the future of remote/hybrid work. Magellan incorporates scientifically proven meeting best practices to provide step-by-step guidance to make meetings better, while eliminating post meeting admin work - like sending out task reminders - by automating it.
Magellan has high fidelity wireframes for a Chrome Plug-In extension which we want to convert into a full web version. There are two unique challenges we need to overcome. First, what should the software look like with the additional space? Second, we expect users to shrink the Web Portal down to the size of the Chrome Plug-in; so, how should that process look and feel?
What You’ll Get Out of this Project:
- Great hourly rate
- Potential for a long term relationship for ongoing UI/UX work
- A thought partner who will actively help you with a clear vision for the product/design (check out Magellan’s creative brief)
The opportunity to shape how people work in a post-pandemic workforce
You Should Apply If:
- If you ask questions and seek guidance to ensure you’re on the right path with a project, especially in the first few weeks as we begin.
- Yet once you understand what you need, you have the confidence and ability to run with the project without having your hand held or needing to be micromanaged.
- You have a keen interest in improving UX and want to sharpen your usability testing to showcase your talent and skills.
What You’ll Need to Do the Job:
- Excel at Figma
- Willingness to work closely with Magellan’s founders and UI contractor. We’ll meet once a week for 30 minutes to collaborate throughout the term of the project (except for holidays and weeks you’re traveling)
Magellan’s founder, Jorge Gamboa, is the former VP of Growth at Doorkee where he took the company from $0 in revenue to $1.1 million in ARR, and 1 to 40+ clients. Previously he was a class-action litigator who was voted a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, an honor given to the top 2.5% of all practicing attorneys under 40. Jorge studied at Northwestern University School of and Boston College.
