We have an in-house developer who will handle the application development but requires support in setting up the GSM modem, configuring the necessary server environment, and building an API that will allow seamless communication between the web application and the modem.
Project Overview:
Objective: Enable our web application to send and receive SMS messages via a GSM modem.
Your Role: Set up the GSM modem, configure the server environment, and develop a robust API for our developer to integrate with.
Collaboration: Work closely with our developer to ensure smooth integration and provide guidance where needed.
Responsibilities:
Configure and set up the GSM modem (hardware and software) for optimal performance.
Develop an API (preferably RESTful) to facilitate communication between the web app and the modem.
Ensure the modem can handle SMS sending/receiving, delivery reports, and error handling.
Provide documentation and guidance for our internal developer to use the API efficiently.
Recommend best practices for scaling the SMS functionality if needed.
