Help build my Shopify Website

I have an Etsy shop, but currently I am in the process of making proper Photoshop images to get on a website. I want to make a proper Shopify website for my services. But I don't want to be completely out of the loop, because some of the backend process will be important for me to know about so I can manage it on my own going further.
