Full-Stack Developer for A Start up Telecom Website
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 AUD
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Web Developer to develop the initial customer-facing website for Blynk Internet & Mobile. This website will be our primary channel for customer acquisition and onboarding. The site needs to be fully responsive, secure, and built with future scalability in mind.
Key features include:
A clean, modern, and visually appealing design with a "fun purple theme."
Integration with a CRM system ZOHO, for customer data management.
Integrate the login page of our wholesaler's customer portal so that it appears to the customer as if it is part of our company, not our wholesaler's.
Integrate the NBN Co. Property search function into the site, maybe with an Iframe.
The ability for us to change pricing and plans as needed, since the prices and plans change regularly and randomly.
A custom sign-up and onboarding process including:
Intuitive plan selection for NBN and Mobile services.
Secure user data capture.
With successful payment in the signup process, create the customer account in the CRM, notifying Blynk of the signup and plan selected, so we can proceed to activate the customers' selected plans.
Australian-compliant Identity (ID) Verification system integration using a DVS gateway (this is a critical requirement).
Secure upfront payment processing via Stripe (or a similar robust gateway).
Adherence to Australian privacy laws and web security best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate project requirements into technical specifications and a functional website.
Design and implement a user-friendly, responsive front-end interface.
Develop and integrate back-end logic for user registration, CRM communication, payment processing, and ID verification with a yet-to-be-decided DVS gateway provider.
Ensure the website is secure, particularly around customer data and payment information.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging.
Provide clear documentation for the delivered codebase.
Collaborate with the business owner to refine requirements and provide progress updates.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Please detail your experience with each of the following in your proposal:
Front-End Development: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), proficiency in a modern JS framework (e.g., React, Vue, Angular), responsive design.
Back-End Development: Proficiency in a server-side language (e.g., PHP, Python, Node.js, Ruby – please specify your preferred stack).
Database Management: Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
API Integration: Proven experience integrating various third-party APIs.
Payment Gateway Integration: Demonstrable experience with secure payment gateway integration (Stripe is preferred). Please provide examples.
ID Verification Systems: Specific experience with integrating identity verification solutions compliant with Australian telecommunications standards (e.g., systems utilising DVS checks or similar robust methods) is highly critical. Please detail any relevant experience.
CRM Integration: Experience integrating with off-the-shelf CRM platforms.
Web Security: Strong understanding of web security best practices (OWASP Top 10), data protection.
Version Control: Proficiency with Git.
Excellent English communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with telecommunications or subscription-based service websites.
Familiarity with Australian Consumer Law (ACL) / ACMA guidelines for telcos.
Basic graphic design skills or a strong eye for aesthetics.
Experience with Xero API.
Knowledge of website performance optimisation and SEO.
What to Include in Your Proposal:
A brief overview of your approach to this project, including any of your suggestions for development.
Examples of similar websites you have developed, particularly those involving e-commerce, custom sign-up flows, payment integration, and/or CRM integration.
Specific examples or descriptions of your experience with integrating identity verification systems, especially any compliant with Australian regulations.
Your estimated timeline and bid for this project, and your availability to start.
We are looking for a skilled developer with an eye to future work who can also be hired for periodic security and maintenance work. In the coming months, further development on the site, such as implementing AI functions from copilot.live or similar programs, to help with customer sign-up and other functions, plus future changes to the site as we remove layers of wholesalers and begin offering more products, such as hardware.
