Freelance Bidding Platform Development

I’m building a web-based and mobile-based platform where people can post freelance jobs and qualified professionals can submit detailed bids and proposals.
Core scope
• Develop the bidding and proposal submission flow from login to award.
• Make the system specifically geared toward freelance jobs, with categories and search that reflect common gig work.
Essential features
• Review & rating system so both clients and freelancers can leave transparent feedback.
• Real-time notifications (web and email) for new bids, messages, and status changes.
• Milestone management that lets a client break work into phases, approve each step, and trigger staged payments.
What I expect from you
1. A functional prototype deployed on a test server so I can walk through every user journey.
2. Clean, well-commented source code and a concise setup guide.
3. A brief technical document outlining architecture decisions, database schema, and recommended next steps for scaling.
I’m aiming for a solid, production-ready base that can be iterated on later, so please balance speed with code quality and security best practices. If you have prior experience building marketplaces or auction systems, that’s a plus—feel free to share examples in your proposal.
