Fix my Wix site
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I was hired to build a website for a lighting designer although I am not a web designer by trade. I did my best but need someone to iron out the kinks and make it work on mobile.
* I am using content manager for a list of portfolio items (projects) as well as another list for product partners (companies I work with). For the portfolio items, everything is in place and designed how I want it, save for one exception where the portfolio item should nest several other portfolio items within it. Basically its one client that he has done many projects for. I haven’t figured out how to make that work with content manager so I would imagine the solution would lie with Velo somehow. So for this task I would need the actual structure of that item figured out plus ideally if you could also input the actual data into the content manager too.
* mobile optimizing. I’ve mostly done this but there is just the finishing touches that need to be ironed out. I can’t imagine this would be too time consuming. It’s basically just your own judgement on how you think the mobile version should look.
* make sure the design elements look sharp, aligned and spaced well, etc. Also make sure the URL names make sense. For instance I noticed the portfolio page is called “/portfolios-1” instead of just “/portfolios”.
* for the portfolio section, if there could be a search bar to find the right item since there is beginning to be too many items to be easily navigable.
* Certain portfolio items have a field for photographer credit while others don’t. I set this up in the content manager, but couldn’t figure out how to get the field to only appear sometimes and not others. Again, I know there is a solution (perhaps with Velo) but I’m not sure what it is.
