Ecommerce Site Redesign for Sales Boost

Redesign of existing bespoke ecommerce website built on ASP.Net Forms with a SQL Server backend database.
The replacement website will also need to be built using ASP.Net Forms with a SQL Server backend database.
The business operates in the home furnishing sector and has been trading online for 14 years.
The existing website functions adequately but has poor UX and is not mobile responsive.
The design aesthetic of the replacement website needs to have a clean and minimalist design and communicate that we are selling a premium / high end product.
There are a number of options with regard to the website redesign…
1. Outsource just the HTML, CSS, and Jscript website redesign work
- The back-end code to link the website to the database etc would be done inhouse
2. Outsource the all of the website redesign work and link to the existing database
3. Outsource the all of the website redesign work and create a new database
The decision on which option to choose will be made after speaking to the various stakeholders and potential developers.
A fuller outline of the work required will be given to the initial developers selected for further discussion.
