UI/UX Developer
Budget: $25 – $50 AUD
TITLE: UI/UX Developer – Power Portal & JavaScript
About the Work:
We have a 3D Enterprise Asset Management Platform in production and are seeking a UI/UX Developer to help refine and optimize the platform’s front-end experience within a structured, Microsoft-heavy environment.
The platform is:
• Focused on digital twin and asset management
• Built using Power Pages, Azure, and custom HTML/CSS/JS
• 12+ months in live production (v2.2)
• Not intended for mobile/tablet use
What You’ll Do:
• Refactor and enhance front-end components (HTML, CSS, Vanilla JS) within Power Pages
• Apply consistent styling and improve UI/UX flow (Bootstrap framework)
• Implement basic WCAG compliance (accessibility requirements)
• Customize Azure Maps and 3D viewer interfaces
• Perform light UX audits and recommend improvements within platform constraints
• Contribute to structured, traceable front-end design and documentation
What We Expect:
• Strong HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Vanilla JavaScript skills
• Experience with front-end customizations inside low-code platforms (Power Pages or similar)
• Understanding of accessibility standards (basic WCAG compliance)
• Ability to deliver traceable, documented updates — not just functional hacks
• UX maturity: focus on user flow, accessibility, and clean interfaces
Skills:
• Microsoft Power Platform
• Dataverse
• Power Automate
• Low-Code Development
• RBAC Implementation
• Secure Design
• Power Apps
• Microsoft Dynamics
Tooling:
• Basic HTML/JS/CSS for Power Pages & Node.js App Service
• Bootstrap Framework
• Microsoft Power Pages (Dynamics Portal)
• Matterport SDK/API
• Azure Maps
• Babylon JS for 3D Models
• Font Awesome
Collaboration:
• Enjoy a milestone-based check-in process with scheduled sessions to review work together.
• We’ll find mutually agreeable times to meet, keeping in mind that I'm based in AEST and generally available any time with some notice.
• Clear communication and regular updates are key to our process.
What You’ll Get:
• Clear, structured, documented requirements
• Collaborative working style (Product Manager and Enterprise Architect support — no direct customer interaction required)
• Flexibility to deliver design improvements without rigid sprint structures
• Emphasis on quality, consistency, accessibility, and traceable work
To Apply:
• Briefly outline your front-end development experience
• Show examples of Power Pages (or similar platform) customizations
• Summarize your approach to UX consistency and accessibility inside low-code environments
We embrace the responsible use of ChatGPT or Copilot as tools to enhance productivity. However, we expect every candidate to ensure that their final work meets our high standards for quality and consistency. If your approach relies on rapidly assembling code without thorough testing and refinement, this project might not be the right fit.
