Community-Focused Resilience Index

Have developed the prototype for a simple community-focused resilience index that would help community leaders assess their economic and workforce resilience (based on 10 identified highest importance factors) and track progress in improving resilience. Communities would establish their baseline in year one, then likely update it annually. The Index is expected to be a useful tool for strategic planners in local governments, economic development organizations and workforce-related not-for-profits. The index is envisaged to be a public domain product (Creative Commons license), accessible through a web-based portal (ex. PowerBI or similar). "First year" data would be preloaded and drawn from easily accessible sources and provide access to data at a local community level rather than at a state/province or national level. Prospective users are more likely to use the tool on a desktop than in a mobile format.
