Catalogue - Library - booking
Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR
I need to build a website that works as an internal (for me and some coworkers) consulting catalog with some specific functions. It should behave like a library system. I believe it can be accomplished with woo-commerce but I am open to other solutions.
I will provide the theme I would like to use, as it has ajax filtering capabilities and I want this feature but you can propose one.
Overview info
I have a catalog with over 2000 unique different products divided by categories, subcategories, and tags. I will provide csv.
The website should have a section (home page and some other pages) available to anyone but the product catalog should be accessed only by authorized and registered people so, a membership solution should be implemented.
Front End
The user should be able to freely book the item for a period of time, so I think some kind of booking mechanism should be thought of. Like the ones used by websites that rent equipment. The difference is that this booking process should be free because the user who “books” the item is within the same organization or partner, so there is no need to pay. Avoiding the checkout process or making it very short is necessary. For example, avoiding price cart, shipping, credit card, and all the non-necessary fields.
One possible way to accomplish this could be to implement a booking plugin OR a request quote + a sort of back-end booking mechanism to manage products.
Backend.
There should be a panel for managing the booked products.
For example: new booked products, return dates, or overdue return booked items.
Booking plugins should be able to handle this, I think.
Think of this website as a members-only free library.
Eventually paid subscriptions to access this catalog will be implemented but should be set.
