Build me a website
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am looking to create a website for my family travel blog with the ability to sell merchandise. I am wondering if Shopify has themes that can be used to not only sell but have some good info pages as well (Like an about us page and possibly a blog page and maybe a spot to see Instagrams latest posts....
The reason I am thinkiing Shopify is because I already have a shopify account that I can use and I am familiar with Shopify and I also think we will be selling a little bit of merch as well.
My question is, are you able to create info pages to blog about our journey as we travel as a family fulltime in an RV. With shopify, can you also link Amazon products or product pages to the store? I plan on having an amazon page with products we use and maybe some affiliate products on our site to...
Looking for recommendations on the best way and best platform without breaking the bank cost wise, both with development but also ongoing with monthly fees.
I realize Wordpress, Squarespace and Wix all might fit the bill better than Shopify but let me know what you think.
I was thinking the Menu tabs on our page would be
Destinations / About Us / Shop
I was thinking if we were using a scrolling parellex theme, the home page would look something like this
- Have a Hero Image/video video is preferred at the top running on a loop
- Second section would be an About Us Blurp with a small paragraph or an image to the left and a small blurb to the right of the image and a CTA button that takes the user to our about Us page where there willl be more detail
- Next will be a section with the latest Instagram images/wall posts
- possibly the latest blog post(s) next and have a CTA that button that brings the user to the Destinations page where our Blog lives
- next will be the shop section that shows a few products or merch and a CTA button that takes to the shopping page
Obviously somewhere will need to have links to our social accounts as well linking to FB/IG.TikTok.Youtube etc..
