Build me a 2-sided crowdfunding platform
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Project Description: Build me a 2-sided crowdfunding web app
We are looking for a skilled designer / developer to build a donation-based crowdfunding platform with the following key features:
- Modern design: Think GoFundMe in terms of aesthetic and functionality. I have a basic Figma design that has the basic idea but is somewhat outdated and amateur. You are free to use any bootstrap templates you wish to make your life easier. As long as it looks clean, modern, bug-free and has all the following functionality for the MVP I am cool with that.
- 2 User-type profiles: Each user should have their own profile. On one side of the platform, users will be individuals looking to raise funds, manage their campaigns, and track their progress. The other are nonprofit managers who can invite their network of volunteers to the platform and approve their volunteer hours.
- Campaign creation & updates: Users should have the ability to create their initial campaign and provide updates to their donors on their campaign page.
- Payment gateway integration: We want to ensure a seamless and secure payment process for our users.
- Tipping: Will need donors to be able to leave us a tip during checkout that goes directly to us and not the fundraiser
- Donation tracking: We should see how many donations a campaign has received, and allow donors to show their fully name, first name only, or be anonymous
- Goal tracking: What makes our crowdfunding platform unique is users looking to raise funds are required to pledge to volunteer a certain number of hours. They then leverage this service as a way to raise funds from supporters. They don't get the funds until they hit their pledge. So we need to track their hours and the total raised. This should be prominently displayed on their crowdfund page, as the amount raised.
- CRM capabilities: Will need nonprofit users to upload their list of volunteers and invite them to join the platform via bulk email invites. Will need a table to see everyone in their network and possibly make updates to their information, and add more volunteers (manually or in bulk)
- QR code tracking: Will need to give nonprofit users a QR code generator that they can print and place at their events for volunteers to scan to check in and check out. Or give them a simple app they can use that performs the same function. Will need to calculate the times and add it to the user's pledged hourly goal.
- Submit hours for approval: In the event that a volunteer forgets to check in, check out, or the nonprofit doesn't provide the QR code, need users to be able to send them an alert to approve hours volunteered so they get credit for the hours and have it count towards their goal. This can be as simple as showing a card with the name, date, and hours a volunteer would like approved on the nonprofit user's dashboard with a button to approve or deny.
- Social media sharing: We want to make it easy for users to share their campaigns on social media platforms to increase visibility and reach. Donors should also be prompted to share after their payment is processed.
- Mobile responsive: This is a must - we will need a mobile ready web app when we launch.
The ideal candidate should have experience in developing crowdfunding platforms and expertise in payment gateway integration. Additionally, a strong understanding of modern design aesthetics is preferred to create a visually appealing platform that aligns with our vision.
If you have the necessary skills and experience, we look forward to collaborating with you on this exciting project.
