Build a professional, and functional website!
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 CAD
We are an Arabic Radio Station, using our website to share latest news, allow users to listen to us live, gain some ad revenue, and get information on our shows.
Our current website (built with Drupal) is falling to pieces and is not user friendly for us to modify it and its content. It also feels static, outdated, and "old". It's currently "broken", check for yourself here: https://meradio.ca/
As we are restructuring and coming out with a new concept, we want out with the old, and in with the new! We want our website to be the perfect place for the Arabic community to come together and feel like they are always welcome here/belong there, can connect with local news and entertainement, and contribute to its development by supporting creators from the community (by viewing their content or buying their products).
We are looking to come up with a new website which keeps some of the essence/brand identity of our old website, but optimized in every way possible. We want this website to be vibrant, dynamic and easy to use and get valuable information out of.
Here's some of our wish list:
1. Easy to use back-end, so anyone at our company can modify the look of the website, add new pages, post and modify content, etc.
2. We want visitors to be able to listen live to our station and see what's currently playing - we already have this on our current website
3. We want to be able to transition the old content to the new website in an easy way.
4. We want to have a dynamic top 10 songs, that would look into the 10 most played songs from our database (we used to have this on our current website)
5. We want a section at the top of the main page displaying:
----- current weather based on visitors' location
----- current program airing with picture of hosts (this will change according to the timing/program schedule)
----- our social media icons, phone and text us links
----- any other pertinent information you could suggest!
6. We want a subdomain for advertisers/publicity purposes
7. We want to have an online store, that would support drop shipping and multiple influencers/foreign creators of products to sell their products on our website too
8. We would like for visitors to be able to create a profile (to comment on posts or buy things from our website)
9. The website NEEDS to be optimized for SEO
10. The website NEEDS to have an analytical portal on the back end to gain information from who our visitors are
11. The website NEEDS to be linked to all the pertinent Google Services (Tag Manager, Meta Data, Search Console, cookies, Google Analytics, Ad Sense (?) ...)
12. Social Media Widgets or top posts shared on our website.
13. Have a newsletter/email collection section.
We are looking for a web designer that can offer a consultative approach to our problem, provide new ideas and suggestions in line with our goals and strategy - and build and ideally maintain our website. We are open to different ideas and have flexibility with our budget.
