Build a Simple Two-Page WordPress Website for a Children's Book Series
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am looking for an experienced WordPress developer to build a small promotional website for my children's book series.
The project is intentionally simple and consists of only two public pages:
The website is informational only and will direct visitors to Amazon for purchases.
There is NO:
• E-commerce
• Shopping cart
• Payment processing
• Membership area
• User accounts
• Blog functionality
• Contact forms
• SEO campaign work
• Custom application development
What I Will Provide
• WordPress installation already set up
• Hosting and domain
• Detailed Scope of Work
• Page mockups
• All images and graphics
• All text content
• Brand colours and style guide
What I Need From You
• Recommend a suitable lightweight WordPress theme and page builder
• Configure and customise the approved theme
• Build both pages to closely match supplied mockups
• Configure responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile
• Configure navigation and footer links
• Insert supplied content and images
• Configure Amazon links and contact email link
• Optimise images for web performance
• Test and deploy the site
• Remove all demo and placeholder content before handover
• Provide brief instructions for future updates
Important Requirements
• All content must be editable by a non-technical user within WordPress
• New rows on both pages must be easy to add by duplicating an existing row
• The final site must closely follow the supplied mockups
• The final site must be clean and free of unused themes, plugins, pages and media files
Deliverables
• Completed website deployed to live hosting
• Fully responsive implementation
• Clean WordPress installation
• List of installed plugins
• Brief handover documentation
• Full backup completed prior to handover
