We are looking for an experienced Video Technology Engineer to join our start-up. Someone who is passionate to be at the helm of building a company
who can build LIVE video and multimedia driven products ground up and is
enthusiastic to be a very early and important member of a start-up.
Someone is who is a passionate about developing, optimising, testing and
deploying highly scalable and cost effective LIVE and recorded video streaming platform.
Job Responsibilities
• build LIVE/Recorded video streaming infrastructure with a focus on quality, reliability, scalability and cost effective.
• Use new video technologies and research to work on improving the video
quality, bandwidth and cost improvements.
• Work closely with application backend, product and design teams to define
feature specifications and integrations
• Optimise, implement, monitor, scale and manage the video back-end services
An ideal candidate has
• At least 3-5 years of proven work experience in back-end software
engineering (preferably on AWS).
• 1-2 years solid experience in developing and deploying Video streaming
applications using webRTC.
• Experience in developing media applications and video conferencing.
• Strong experience in architecting, load-testing, deploying and scaling video
streaming backend with strong optimisation for cost and bandwidth usage
on both server and client.
• Preference to candidates with experience in Jitsi, Jitsi Video Bridge
implementation on AWS.
• Good understanding of performing streaming video and audio quality
assessment and benchmarking
• Good understanding of video/audio codecs, containers
