Custom Live & VOD Streaming Platform
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m building a full-featured streaming solution that can ingest RTMP, WebRTC and HLS, then serve those same protocols to viewers while also handling standard VOD playback. The platform must behave like a TV station for 24/7 linear playout and—most importantly—restream every live feed automatically to major social networks without asking for manual RTMP URLs.
Core objectives
• Single dashboard to start a live event, schedule VOD or run the linear channel.
• Auto-connect restreaming: once a social account is linked, going live on my side should instantly push the stream out to Facebook, YouTube, Twitch and similar endpoints.
• Near-real-time latency for WebRTC, plus adaptive HLS for wider device support.
• Cloud-friendly architecture so scaling traffic is as simple as adding more nodes; containerised or serverless approaches are fine as long as they stay portable.
Deliverables
1. Source code and deployment scripts (Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent).
2. Web admin interface for stream control, social-account management and analytics.
3. API documentation covering stream creation, scheduling and restream status.
4. A demo instance showing a live broadcast simultaneously visible on at least two linked social platforms.
5. Post-launch support for initial bug fixes and performance tuning.
Acceptance criteria
• A single click inside the dashboard publishes the same stream on the site player and on chosen social destinations.
• RTMP, WebRTC and HLS ingest all reach the viewer with stable playback at multiple bitrates.
• VOD uploads appear in the library and can be inserted into the linear playlist without gaps.
