Cross-Platform Video Calling App
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
The task is to create a real-time video-calling application for both Android and iOS that offers an experience comparable to the FRND app. The core requirement is smooth, high-quality video calls delivered through an intuitive, modern interface.
Scope of work
• Design and implement the complete mobile front-end in native Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift) or an agreed cross-platform stack such as Flutter or React Native.
• Build the real-time video engine—WebRTC, Agora, Twilio, or a similarly reliable SDK—tuned for low latency and adaptive resolution.
• Develop secure user onboarding with phone/e-mail sign-up, OTP verification, and profile management.
• Integrate push notifications, in-app status indicators, and call history so users never miss a connection.
• Set up a lightweight backend (Node.js, Firebase, or comparable) to handle authentication, call signalling, and basic analytics.
• Provide full source code, environment files, and concise deployment documentation so the project can be compiled and published to both stores without guesswork.
Acceptance criteria
1. A user on any recent Android or iOS device can initiate, receive, and maintain a stable two-way video call for at least 30 minutes over standard 4G networks.
2. UI/UX follows the polished, swipe-focused flow inspired by FRND, passes a basic accessibility review, and adapts cleanly to phones and small tablets.
3. Code is lint-clean, documented, and builds successfully in the latest Xcode and Android Studio releases.
4. Store-ready builds (APK and IPA/TestFlight) are delivered along with a brief hand-off session.
With these deliverables in place, I will be able to launch the app confidently on both platforms.
