Functionality, Usability & Performance Testing
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
My website is approaching launch and I need an independent test run that focuses on three key areas: functionality, usability, and performance. Security penetration isn’t required this time, so you can concentrate fully on how the site works and feels for real users.
Scope of work
• Desktop coverage: please run tests on current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari (or the closest equivalents you have).
• Mobile coverage: iOS and Android, using real devices where possible so we capture genuine touch-interaction issues.
• Functional checks: confirm every link, form, CTA, media element, and dynamic feature behaves exactly as intended, flagging any broken flows or error messages.
• Usability review: note friction points, unclear copy, confusing navigation, or any accessibility barriers you observe while completing typical user tasks.
• Performance sweep: record page-load times and rendering hiccups, and highlight heavy assets or code bottlenecks that slow the experience.
Deliverables
1. A clear bug-tracking sheet (spreadsheet or shared tool) listing steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual behaviour, environment details, and severity.
2. A short usability summary with improvement suggestions, screenshots or screen recordings where helpful.
3. Performance snapshot (tool of your choice: Lighthouse, WebPageTest, or browser dev tools) showing key metrics and quick-win recommendations.
I’ll supply the staging URL and any test credentials as soon as we start. Feel free to raise clarifying questions before diving in so we keep the feedback focused and actionable.
