Developer Requirement – Axis2 Web Service Troubleshooting
Objective
Must be available to troubleshoot. If not do not apply;
Fix an Apache Axis2 web service error where the service endpoint exists but requests fail with “Operation not found / WSA Action = null”.

Scope of Work

Analyze Axis2 server logs and stack traces

Troubleshoot and fix SOAP operation resolution issues

Verify and correct WSDL, service endpoint, and services.xml configuration

Ensure correct SOAP/WS-Addressing Action handling

Validate client request format (SOAP vs REST, headers, namespaces)

Test and confirm successful service invocation

Required Skills

Strong experience with Apache Axis2 (1.x)
Solid understanding of SOAP, WSDL, WS-Addressing
Experience debugging Java-based web services
Familiarity with Axis2 services.xml configuration

Experience troubleshooting HTTP/SOAP request issues

Ability to read and analyze server logs

Nice to Have

Experience with legacy enterprise integrations

Experience with REST-to-SOAP interoperability

Familiarity with Java application servers (Tomcat)

Expected Outcome

Axis2 service correctly resolves and executes operations
No “Operation not found” or “WSA Action = null” errors
Service successfully processes SOAP requests
