wordpress getting attacks too many connections

I am in need of a freelance web developer to help protect my WordPress website from attacks. This project is for personal use, and I do already have an established WordPress website. I have taken basic security measures to protect the website, however, it is still getting attacked by too many connections. I am looking for an experienced developer to identify the vulnerabilities in the security system and provide measures to help prevent further attacks.
