to track a YouTube link if it was viewed

I want to send a genuine Youtube video link to a few people via Whatsapp. I want to know if the link has been opened and viewed. Is it possible to send these people a Youtube video link without them knowing that the activity has been tracked. I just need to know if link has been clicked on or not. That is it.
