WordPress Website Recovery and PHP Update

Job ID: 37677277

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

We are seeking a skilled and experienced freelancer to assist us in resolving critical issues with our WordPress website (http://www.stellarcontent.co.nz//). The site is currently facing two main challenges:

1. Phishing Warning Issue:

Our website has been flagged by Google for suspected phishing activities, resulting in a warning message for visitors. We need a freelancer who can thoroughly investigate and eliminate any potential security threats, malware, or unauthorized access on the site.

2. PHP Version Update:

Upon attempting to log in, an error message indicates that our server is running an outdated PHP version (5.5.38), while WordPress 6.3.1 requires at least PHP 7.0.0. The freelancer should be able to update the PHP version on our server, ensuring compatibility with the latest WordPress version (preferably PHP 7.4 or higher).

Key Tasks:

*Conduct a thorough security audit to identify and remove any malicious code or files.
*Resolve the phishing warning issue and ensure the website is secure for visitors.
*Update the PHP version on the server to meet the minimum requirements of WordPress 6.3.1.
*Verify the functionality of the website after the PHP update.
*Provide documentation of changes made and recommendations for ongoing security.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in WordPress security and PHP version updates.
* Familiarity with Google warnings and the ability to address phishing issues.
* Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve login and PHP compatibility issues.
* Effective communication and the ability to provide clear documentation of changes.

How to Apply:

Interested freelancers are invited to submit their proposals, including:

1. Overview of relevant experience with WordPress security and PHP updates.
2. Proposed timeline for completing the tasks outlined.
3. Project-based rate for the entire project.

We look forward to working with a talented freelancer who can help us restore the functionality and security of our WordPress website.
