We are looking for a skilled and experienced WordPress website maintenance freelancer to help us with the overall maintenance of our website on a one-time basis. Our website is built on the WordPress platform and we need someone who can perform updates, backups, security checks, and optimization to ensure that it is fully functional and secure.
Responsibilities:
Perform updates to WordPress core, theme, and plugins to ensure that the website is up-to-date and running smoothly.
Set up backup procedures of the website and database with alerts to ensure that we are notified of any backup issues or failures.
Conduct security check to ensure that the website is protected from any vulnerabilities and take necessary actions to fix them.
Optimize the website for speed and performance to improve the user experience and search engine rankings.
Resolve any technical issues that may arise during the maintenance task and provide technical support to the team.
Document the maintenance tasks and procedures for future reference and training purposes.
Requirements:
Strong experience in website development or website maintenance, with a deep understanding of WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates.
Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Familiarity with website hosting, DNS management, and domain registration.
Experience with website optimization tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Yoast SEO.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
