Network Security and Applications Theoritical Questions -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I am looking for a knowledgeable individual who can provide expertise in the areas of encryption algorithms, secure data transmission, and anomaly detection. The project involves the following key tasks:
Encryption Analysis: Explaining the use of shorter key sizes in WTLS compared to TLS and the implications for security.
Encryption Modes: Discussing the suitability of counter encryption mode for high-speed networks and how its security can be maximized.
Anomaly Detection: Differentiating between point anomalies and contextual anomalies with examples.
Access Control Models: Recommending and explaining an access control model to maintain data integrity in a commercial information system.
LFSR and Cryptography: Analyzing a given Linear Feedback Shift Register (LFSR) for its bitstream period to determine its suitability for encryption.
Hamming Distance Application: Calculating Hamming distances to identify anomalies and justify findings with a graphical representation.
Scripting and Programming: Crafting a program using while, read, and awk commands to manipulate and store data.
Additionally, the project requires the evaluation of responses generated by an AI (presumably ChatGPT) regarding network attacks, symmetric-key encryption without a shared secret, key management using DES and 3DES algorithms, and the computation of session keys and shared keys in cryptographic protocols.
The ideal candidate should be well-versed in cybersecurity concepts, have experience with encryption algorithms, and be able to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios. Strong analytical skills are a must to identify correct and incorrect AI-generated answers and to provide accurate explanations.
