I require a security professional skilled in API testing to carry out a thorough penetration test on my REST API.
Key Requirements:
- The primary goal is to identify vulnerabilities within API. This includes but is not limited to injection attacks, authentication and authorization flaws, and potential data exposure.
- The freelancer must have a comprehensive understanding of API architecture and security principles.
- Both automated and manual scanning methods should be employed to ensure a complete analysis.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in API penetration testing, with a focus on API.
- Familiarity with security testing tools and methodologies.
- A background in software development or API design is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to provide a detailed report, including recommendations for corrective actions.
