School District Tech Contact Research
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Looking to hire person who can quickly search a school district's website for highest ranking contact in their technology department and capture their contact information. You will be given a spreadsheet noting the School name, location, website, and phone number. This project will be for schools districts in the states of New York, New Hamsphire, massechusetts, Vermont, and Maine.
We are only looking to capture one contact from each school. Here's the the ranking of which job title should be prioritized when choosing the appropriate contact
VP of Purchasing
Director of Purchasing/Purchasing Director
Purchasing Supervisor
Purchasing Coordinator
Purchasing Manager
Please note that some schools use the tital with "Procurment and not "Purchasing" in the time so please check "Procurment if nothing comes up under "purchasing"
Here are the fields of Information to capture:
First and Last Name
email address
Job Title
If there's a direct phone number please enter it in the "Direct Phone" column.
INSTRUCTIONS
In a web browser seach, enter the school website (copy from spreadsheet) plus the words "Directory", "Purchasing and "Procurement""
This will hopefully populate links to the school's faculty or staff directories. Once in the staff directory there may be a drop down of "departments" where you can select "Purchasing" "Procurement" or "Finance" to view a list of or single contact. Choose the correct position based on the job ranking list above. There may also be a seach option in the staff directory where you can type in "Purchasing" or Procurement" and the list of contacts with "Purchasing" or Procurement" in their job title will list.
Some schools will not have emails for contacts and some will may not list a technology contact. You can leave those blank. If you findan alternative or better method to find this information that's also good. I've provided below a zoom tutorial of 10 dfferent searche examples for the state of Virgina. Also attached is an example of the final spreadsheet used in the tutorial as well as the spread sheet for the different states you will be working on (New York, New Hamsphire, massechusetts, Vermont, and Maine).
