Hand-collect collect data about business school accreditation and enter into spreadsheet

This job consists in advanced web search and data entry.

The goal of the project is to collect data on the historical accreditation status of 803 MBA programmes of international business schools between 1998 and 2018. The dataset is partially pre-populated, so will not require collection for each programme year.

Final deliverable:
Fully completed excel sheet with data entries for the AMBA and EQUIS accreditations for each programme year, and links to evidence where the data was found.

Requirements:
- Experience with advanced web search
- Experience with data entry on excel sheet

The attached file contains a subsample of 10 schools.

Tasks involve:
1) Identify business school names from the provided Excel sheet in column A (in case this name is unclear, there are alternative names in columns C-F, and the name of the parent university in column G, and the country in column H).
2) Identify the years for which the accreditation data is needed, i.e., empty cells, or cells containing "?". Do not change cells containing “1” or “0”, unless you find evidence that data is wrong.
3) Use search engines with combinations of the school name, "accreditation" and "AMBA"/ "Association of MBAs" or "EQUIS"/ "EFMD Quality improvement system" and “year”, e.g., "Harvard Business School AMBA accreditation year" and "Harvard Business School EQUIS accreditation year"
4) If necessary, use date range searches to identify the year of the initial accreditation (e.g., if cells are empty or "?" before 2010, use date range 1998-2009)
5) Check information contained on the School's website or press releases for evidence of accreditation year (typically a school announcement that they have received AMBA or EQUIS accreditation), The Economist, Wikipedia, or sector websites, as long as they contain information on the exact year the accreditation took place, or was in place.
6) Identify the exact year of accreditation (e.g., 2010)
7) Enter EQUIS accreditation status in column J, and AMBA accreditation status in column K, using 0 for non-accredited years, and 1 for accredited years. For example, if the MBA programme was accredited in 2010, this would be "0" for every year from 1998 until 2009, and "1" for every year from 2010 until 2018. If the programme was accredited from 1998, enter “1” in all cells from 1998 to 2018. If the programme was never accredited, enter “0” in all cells from 1998 to 2018.
8) You can assume that schools maintain their accreditation once accredited. This will mean that you do not have to have to do the search for every year, as long as the initial year of accreditation is identified.
9) Post all evidence you find (links to press statements, websites including the year of accreditation, brochures etc..) in the Evidence 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 columns. A link to the press statement will be the strongest evidence, followed by a website with date, etc..)
10) Schools have an interest in publishing their accreditations, so it should be possible to find the data for all schools. In the rare case that this is not possible, please mark year fields as "n/a", leave a comment in the notes section, and provide links to the evidence that you have found (even if it doesn’t include the desired information on the accreditation).
11) Important: Please maintain the integrity of the database - do not add/ delete/ or change any columns or rows
