tracking shipments

Job ID: 31360535

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

We are a freight forwarder and customhouse broker in U.S. We track a lot of shipments, that can be either by a container number, mawb or hawk. We currently track and trace the shipments online with carriers.

We have 2 types of sites that we track on, 1 that requires a user name and password and 2 one that doesn't. The carriers can be either courier services, like UPS - Fedex or airlines like Air France, KLM or they can be ocean carriers, like Zim, One, Maersk or lastly it might be a rail like BNSF, CN, UP and also inland truckers like YRC, OD...

Some shipments might actually use several modes of transportation including ocean and rail or air and truck.

We would want to have the full data kept on each tracing throughout the "active" process but still retain "inactive" searches.

I see 3 elements to this project, one element the carriers data: Website page, login details (if needed) and tracking type.

The 2nd element of it would be a spreadsheet that would container fields like: Customer, Hawb/Mawb/BL or container #, the "carriers" (drop down pick, from element 1) that would be used for the tracing and the data section with locations and the active/inactive tab.

The last element of it would be the reporting side, simply all active items listed by either customer or carrier which could be distributed in the office and then a print out of completed tracking before inactivating the search.

Key element, easy to manage and implement, maintain and search.
