Web scraping task: extract a list of data from a website in an automated way

I need to extract thousands of data from a website. The site looks more or less like this: a simple page with a table with thousands of rows, and each row includes a button that when clicked opens a small pop-up window containing only some text, which is the data I'm interested in. So I simply need something that automatically downloads the text contained in each pop-up window that can be accessed from the buttons. I've already tried the google extension "Web Scraper" but without success for some reason, maybe I don't use it well, and so it would also be fine if someone could explain to me how to use this tool correctly for my application.
