An automized web crawler will be coded for a certain website and the results will be recorded in the attached excel file:
Data Crawling Method:
1. Navigate to this web link: https://yokatlas.yok.gov.tr/lisans-anasayfa.php
2. Click on ‘’Üniversite Seç’’ button which means select university in English.
3. Select the 1st university, when you select the 1st university it will direct to the sub departments of that university such as this :
https://yokatlas.yok.gov.tr/lisans-univ.php?u=1065
4. Click on the first department, it will direct you to the student demography page of that specific department such as:
https://yokatlas.yok.gov.tr/lisans.php?y=106510077
At this point click on the 4th box in the left column which labeled as ‘’Yerleşenlerin Cinsiyet Dağılımı 2020’’, you will view the gender ratios of that depatment where ''kız'' stands for Woman and ''Erkek'' stands for ''Man''. Record these data to the excel sheet.
This process will be done for all universities and departments in the list.
