Web Data Extraction Expert / website scraper

I need to know an intelligent website scraper to ask for help when needed (Casual unless you make your own role). This is not crazy technical - it's basic, but I would like you to be able to think!

I have a task now which involves scraping a post on my site, then doing 301/404 checks, then working to expand data by pulling from sits as you see need (Of course I have list already).
The more logical and smart you are in understanding how to solve problems the more I can see ways to use you. If you can do data manipulation then there is more fun!
