Project: Automated Data Extraction from TradingView to Excel (No Manual Intervention)
Description:
I am looking for an experienced automation developer to set up a fully automated system that performs the following tasks related to trading data extraction and processing:
Key Requirements:
1. Candle Data Collection:
- Automatically fetch OHLC candle values (Open, High, Low, Close) every 1 hour from TradingView for selected symbols.
2. Indicator Data Extraction:
- Fetch MACD values (MACD line, Signal line, Histogram) from TradingView and log them into an Excel sheet.
3. Scheduled Daily Update:
- On the next calendar day, automatically:
- Fetch the previous day’s candle and MACD values.
- Run this process automatically if the PC is ON or as soon as it boots up.
4. Full Automation (No User Intervention):
- The complete process must run in the background without any manual steps, including:
- Starting the process on schedule or PC boot
- Extracting required data
- Processing/saving to Excel
- Optionally shutting down the PC once complete
5. Optional Bonus Requirement:
- If feasible, the entire sequence should:
- Auto-start with the system
- Extract data
- Save the Excel workbook
- Auto-shut down the system on successful completion
Ideal Candidate Should Have:
- Strong experience with Python, Excel automation, and Windows Task Scheduler or equivalent
- Hands-on knowledge of web scraping or API integration with TradingView (or similar platforms)
- Proven track record of automation scripting
- Familiarity with data handling for trading/finance is a big plus
Deliverables:
- Fully functional and tested script with logs
- Configuration for auto-start and scheduling
- A sample Excel file with expected data format
- Instructions (if any changes are needed for the future)
