Python Web Automation for Trading Cards
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need an experienced Python developer to build a custom web automation script for personal use.
Project Requirements:
Develop a script that monitors multiple websites (e.g. TCGPlayer, Pokémon Center, Walmart, Target and similar marketplaces) for specific trading cards (Pokémon TCG and sports cards).
The script should search based on keywords, sets, players, price thresholds, and other filters I will provide.
Send real-time notifications (Discord, email, or SMS) when matching items are found or prices drop.
Include optional functionality to assist with fast checkout or cart addition (using my own saved payment details and manual confirmation where required).
Use best practices for reliable operation, including proper delays and error handling.
Provide clean, well-documented code with a configuration file so I can easily update search terms and settings.
Make it runnable on my local machine or a VPS.
Preferred Skills:
Python (Playwright or Selenium experience is a plus)
Web scraping and automation
Handling dynamic websites and APIs where available
Building user-friendly scripts with good documentation
