Parliament Data API Integration
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm looking for an experienced developer to create an API for my WordPress site that will:
- Retrieve real-time data from https://explore.data.parliament.uk, searching and fetching all entries containing the word 'Taiwan'. The API should fetch the title, content, source link, MP profile links, relevant dates, and (where appropriate) downloadable text or video links. (See attached images for layout and content guide)
- Integrate this data seamlessly into my website's backend and frontend (building a page and a menu system allowing the user to browse according to type of entry - see here the manual equivalent currently: https://taiwanpolicycentre.com/in-westminster/ (and screenshots)
- Ensure data consistency and integrity during retrieval.
- Implement robust authentication to safeguard the process.
Ideal skills for this project include:
- Proficiency in WordPress development.
- Expertise in API creation and integration.
- In-depth understanding of government databases and data handling.
- Strong background in web security.
Experience required:
- Previous work with data-rich API services.
- Track record of successful WordPress integrations.
