MegaMillions Winners Data Scraping & Analysis
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need a freelancer to scrape data from the Official MegaMillions website for the last five years of MegaMillions winners. The task involves compiling an Excel sheet that shows the number of winners and total won, at each prize level, for each draw.
Key Requirements:
- Data will be sourced from the Official MegaMillions website (https://www.megamillions.com/Winning-Numbers/Previous-Drawings.aspx).
- The summary should be structured one row per draw.
- All prize levels are required to be included in the summary, not just the jackpot winners.
- Megaplier Winners can be treated as multiples of that same category (example to illustrate attached in Excel)
Ideal Skills:
- Proficiency in data scraping.
- Strong Excel skills for data compilation and analysis.
- Previous experience with lottery data is a plus.
The goal is to have a comprehensive and neatly organized summary of winners at each prize level, that can easily be understood and interpreted.
I have attached a screen shot from the Mega Millions website above showing the data for the draw of 2024/8/23, and a tiny one row spreadsheet of how I would like the data for each draw presented, along with a few explanatory notes.
