Large web research task

Job ID: 36396181

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

Hi all. I'm a freelancer and I have a task that I need help with. This is a task for people experienced with Python and web scraping.

I have a long list of 377 local authorities in England, with the websites listed on Sheet 2 of the attached Google Spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1q8npaPBqMXVQQNnsV5tWDfVnenMWSIrh3fQDYjhbqr8/edit?usp=sharing

I need to find the Planning Committee for each council and input the contact details for each council member into the relevant columns on Sheet 1 of the spreadsheet. I've done the first 1 as an example. Both permanent and reserve members are required. Fill in the Reserve section with Y if they are reserve.

The main problem is that it won't be called "Planning Committee" on every website, and each website is likely to be arranged differently, I'm sure this makes it harder to automate but if you can find a way around this that would be great.

I should mention - on most of the pages - there should be the option to view the contact details as a mailing list - which you can then copy and paste and then edit that way - here is a link to what I mean for the Basildon one: https://www.basildonmeetings.info/mgCommitteeMailingList.aspx?EM=1&ID=709

Whilst it can be done manually, I'd advise against bidding if you don't have a team of people to help you. Please keep your bids short and to the point, with no irrelevant rambling. Start your bid using a hashtag to prove you've read this description.

My deadline is by next Wednesday. My budget is low ($30) and I can't raise it, so don't bother bidding if that's an issue.

Thanks
