Google Shopping Scraper Platform - That can scale
We are looking for someone to create a platform so that we can scrape google shopping for multiple clients. There is a need to be able to extract information on a large numbers of products accurately and quickly. We appreciate that this is not easy to do (as we do it ourselves) and therefore **please** only bid if you are experienced with Google Shopping scraping/crawling and can help us to create a standalone platform to do it. We also understand this is not a small job.
This is what we need:
- To be able to inject GTIN and/or product names via some form of API to find Google Shopping products
- To find dealers who sell the products under that GTIN and to quality check that they are correct. Our understanding is that not all GTINs show and/or show the correct product, so some automatic QA will be necessary here
- To be able to extract the information on the dealers and prices of the products
- To get around any blocking that may be used. This is an important point
- To work at scale and we are happy if this scales across servers/instances. We would need to have guidance from you on how you would do this
- To crawl the products regularly (daily/weekly)
I think there are two parts
1) Product discovery via GTIN and/or keywords. This would be finding the products that we wish to monitor
2) Regular monitoring of those specific products/URLs
In the first instance, please tell us why we should choose you. The key here is your Google Shopping scraping experience and why you have the expertise to do this for us. Apologies for being blunt, but if you can't do this or have never done it previously, please do not bid.
We want this to be a flexible platform that will grow as we grow and ideally we want someone who can work with us ongoing, providing maintenance to the platform.
We currently monitor 2.5 million products each day with Google. We are looking for this new platform to replace our old one
We will be posting the same for Amazon.
Any questions, please ask :)
